Dancing on Depot 2026 Summer Concert Series

The Town of Cleveland Summer Concert Series features regional bands on the fourth Saturday of the month from April through September. Bands perform on the street slope of South Depot Street in the middle of downtown Cleveland, easily accessible to residents and the community. This is a bring-your-lawn-chair family event, with bands starting at 6:30pm.

Barn Quilt Trail

The West Rowan community is home to one of 40 or more barn quilt trails in North Carolina. A barn quilt trail is a series of painted wood or metal hung or freestanding quilt squares installed along a route emphasizing significant architecture or aesthetic landscapes.

In 2019, the largest community barn quilt in the U.S. was installed on the wall of West Rowan Farm Home & Garden, Inc., located at 11575 N.C. Hwy 801, Mt. Ulla, NC. The Mount Ulla Community Barn Quilt measures 500 square feet. The general store and ice cream parlor specializes in barn quilts and offers workshops, art classes, local goods, and gardening supplies.

Annual Cleveland Rodeo

This annual event, now in its 13th year, is a celebration of the cowboy/Western way of life, with concessions provided by and proceeds going to Heart of a Sportsman Ministry. The 2026 event is scheduled for June 12-13th at 875 Redmond Road, Cleveland, NC 27013. Gates open at 6 pm with the rodeo starting at 8 pm.

Events include bull riding, wild horse riding, calf roping, breakaway roping, team roping and barrel racing. Family entertainment includes Bounce house, mechanical bull, pony rides, and more.

Admission: $20 – Parking is $5
CASH ONLY EVENT!

Joe Hall Memorial Labor Day Community Breakfast

Sponsored by the Cleveland Lions Club, this annual community gathering at the clubhouse, 106 Cemetery St., kicks off at 7:00am on Labor Day Weekend Saturday. It is the place to be if you in the area on Labor Day Weekend.

Woodleaf Tomato Festival

Unity Presbyterian Church, 885 Woodleaf-Barber Road, Cleveland, NC 27013, annual family event, third Saturday in August, celebrating all-things tomatoes and the rich heritage of tomato farming in the Woodleaf community.

Cleveland Community Day

Come out and connect with each other on Community Day.  There will be various craft vendors, food vendors, and civic vendors.

​The Town of Cleveland 3nd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Event

December 1, 2023 was our 1st Annual Christmas Tree Lighting.  We had an amazing turnout with over 250 people to attend.  This year, we are adding new vendors, and different crafts for you and your family can partake in.  Check back for more details here or online on our social media.

December 5, 2026; event starts at 6:00p.m.

Where:
Main Street and part of Maple Street.  (Streets will be closed from 5:30PM to 9:30PM only homeowners allowed to travel through until 6PM.)

Vendor Information:
If you would like to be a vendor at this event, please fill out the Vendor Application and return it and the payment to Rebekah Newsome at Town Hall no later than November 21, 2026; 5PM.

​Cleveland Christmas Parade

Held on the first Saturday in December at 2:00pm, the traditional Town of Cleveland Christmas Parade is a time of family gatherings, renewing old friendships, and of course, welcoming Christmas — the small-town way, with plenty of horses, dogs, and kids, church floats, big trucks, bicycles, and candy.

You name it, and you will probably find it in the Town of Cleveland Christmas Parade, now a mainstay for 50 years. The Scouts held the parade its first year, and it was picked up by the Cleveland Lions Club the second year and continues as a Lions Club community event.

If you would like to enter to be part of the Christmas Parade, please fill out the Parade Entry Form and mail it (along with a $10 entry fee) to the address below:
